What makes 3Rivers Mobile Bill Pay so innovative is the ability to pay your bills simply by taking a picture of your billing statement. The app will recognize the payee information from the picture, then you just enter the amount you’re paying and the payment date, and that’s it! It’s another way we’re working to make your money matters simpler. Not only can you save on stamps by paying bills electronically, but now you can save precious minutes by paying bills anywhere and anytime right on your smartphone or tablet!

In a perfect world, we’d all be able to pay our entire credit card balance every month. We don’t live in a perfect world.
Maybe the car broke down, basement flooded, or one of the kids thought the TV was a Piñata. Whatever the reason, you have a credit card balance, and it’s not the end of the world. Sometimes you have to make a minimum payment.
With a 3Rivers Visa Platinum, you’ll only ever be asked to pay 1.5% of your balance every month, and that’s ok when life throws you a curveball, and you’re unable to pay more. However, we want all of our members to adopt healthy financial habits and encourage you to pay more than the minimum.
Paying more than the minimum means paying less interest, and it means saving money over time. Paying the entire balance every month means you don’t have to pay any interest and won’t pay a penny more than what your purchases cost.
Here’s an example of how paying more each month will save you in the long run.

So you may wonder why we don’t force you to pay the whole balance if it’s the best way to pay. We know that it’s not always possible to pay the entire balance, so we want to give you a flexible way to pay your bill each month. For that reason, we’ll let you pay as little as 1.5% of your balance as your minimum payment. But remember that your best bet will always be to pay more than the minimum each month. That’s how you can eliminate debt quicker and pay less interest over the life of your credit card.

I know, you’re thinking “Bill Pay? For my Fantasy League?”
Stick with me. I’ve done this before. And you can too! It will make your life easier and the rest of your league will be in awe of your brilliance.
You can “Pay a Person” with Online Bill Pay just like you would any company or business. All account and routing numbers are shared through secure interfaces, so the people you pay will never know your account number, nor will they ever know yours.
Once you sign in, go to the payments screen and click the “Add a Person” radial button. Then, enter just a few details about that person (name, email address, phone, etc.). As you walk through the steps, you’ll be asked to provide a keyword that you will privately share with that person.
Once you’ve entered those details, you’ll be asked to activate the person. To activate, you will need to enter a code that can be obtained by phone, sms or email. From there, you can issue your payment to that person just like you would any other bill.
In the meantime, the person you are adding will receive an email with a link. When they click it, they will be asked to provide their account number, routing number, account type and the keyword your privately shared with them. After that is complete, the money will be issued directly into their account.
Pretty easy huh?

We wanted to share some recent enhancements that have been added to our Online Bill Pay solution. They will provide you with more flexibility in payments and history research. They are:
- Extended payment history (84 months for payment history);
- Check images (available for up to 18 months if the payment is issued by check); and
- eBills, which electronically notifies you of payment due dates and amounts from supported payee’s websites.
Let’s take a closer look at these three features:
Extended Online Bill Payment History and Check Images
This allows for easier tax reporting and receipt tracking. And now, payments issued by check are connected to the actual cleared check images, giving you more ability to verify payments without having to request additional documentation. To obtain a check image after signing into Online Bill Pay:
- Go to Payment History and search your desired date range.
- Payment activity that took place during that range will display. If the method indicates “check”, click “view” in the details section (under the confirmation number).
- The next page gives the payment and posting details. There is also an ability to click a link to “view cleared check”.
eBills helps you streamline your money matters by notifying you when a new bill is due and pre-filling the amount due information. It’s simple to get started:
- Go to the Online Bill Pay homepage (or, in the course of paying bills, if that payment is eligible for ebills, there will be a link that suggests setting it up).
- In the eBill signup section, your eBill eligible payees will display. Click “Sign Up”.
- Enter the login info you would use at that payee’s website.
- Once verified, you’ll confirm and complete setup and get a confirmation email.
- When an eBill is ready for payment, it will display on your payments screen. Pay like you would any other bill.
