Coming Soon: Mobile Bill Pay!

Mobile Bill Pay PicAs part of our commitment to provide convenient service to our members 24 hours a day, we are currently working on a new mobile app which will allow you to pay bills right from your Apple or Android smartphones and tablets.

Mobile Bill Pay will be released soon for Apple and Android devices and it’s a true innovation in our industry.

What makes 3Rivers Mobile Bill Pay so innovative is the ability to pay your bills simply by taking a picture of your billing statement. The app will recognize the payee information from the picture, then you just enter the amount you’re paying and the payment date, and that’s it! It’s another way we’re working to make your money matters simpler. Not only can you save on stamps by paying bills electronically, but now you can save precious minutes by paying bills anywhere and anytime right on your smartphone or tablet!

Keep following the 3Rivers blog to learn more about how Mobile Bill Pay will help you save time and money!

New Mobile Access Available Now

Update (4/20/2012): There is an update available for the iPhone app that fixes the problem with the registration link.  Remember that no matter which phone you’re using you’ll need to register a new mobile access account with 3Rivers.  Once this is done, you can use the same username and password on both Android and iPhone.

Our new mobile app is now available for Android.  It should also hit iTunes soon for iPhone users.  We’ve worked hard to make sure mobile access is continually improving, and have addressed many of the concerns about the old app.

First, you’ll be able to view all of your accounts regardless of whether or not you are the primary owner.  Second, instead of enrolling through Online Access, you can now do everything on your phone, making it easier than ever to start mobile banking with 3Rivers.  Mobile also runs faster, and is built on a platform that easily expandable for future updates and tweaks.

Text banking is now available and allows you to check balances, recent transactions, and make transfers.  To register and see a full  list of commands click here.

For more information about our mobile app, take a look at our Mobile Access page.

iPhone App Registration Solution

Like many of you this morning, I updated my 3Rivers iPhone app.  I was frustrated to find that I couldn’t register a username and password, as the link in the app was broken.  We are currently working to resolve the problem, but in the meantime there is a solution.

In your iPhone browser go to 3rivers.mobi, and tap view accounts.

You’ll get a sign-on screen with a link to register a new username and password.

Once there, you’ll need to input some information to verify your identity, and select some security questions and answers.

After completing the registration process, tap finish and you should be able to sign in with your new username and password in the app.

In order to make it possible to complete the entire registration process on your phone, instead of having to request an activation code on your computer, we had to make a change from the PIN number system to using usernames and passwords.  Once the register link on the iPhone app is fixed it should make for a much more convenient app experience.

Again, sorry to hear about your frustrations, but this should be resolved quickly.

Groundbreaking Progress

Update: The new mobile app, originally scheduled to be available today has been delayed while we await approval from the iTunes app store.  Once more information is available this post will be updated to reflect the correct date.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Our new mobile app is now available.

Today, we’re celebrating the groundbreaking of our Northland Campus Expansion, and while we couldn’t be more excited about the new LEED certified facility, or the eventual renovation of our current building, what’s really important is the way in which this project along with all of the other groundbreaking enhancements coming in 2012 will allow us to better serve our mission of helping people with money matters every day.

The new Northland Campus, with its’ open concept design, emphasizes ease of communication and literally breaks down walls pulling people closer together and fostering open collaboration.  If you’d like to see the progress of the construction, just click here.

The camera is updated every 15 minutes, and you can watch a time lapse video to see how much progress has already been made.

The expansion is just beginning of our groundbreaking year.  We’re also building new branches in Auburn and Bluffton, moving the in-store Chestnut branch across the street to a new home in the Shoppes of Scott Road, and updating our Georgetown and West State branches, all in an effort to ensure we continue to provide excellent service.

Since we know accessing your money, how and when you want is important, we’re launching an all new mobile app for both Android and iPhone.  There’s also a new WAP solution for other devices.  If you’d like to be kept in the loop regarding mobile banking, check out our mobile access page on the re-designed website.

While you’re there, click around the new site, which has been designed to get you to the information you want faster.  Most of the pages, no matter where you are, are accessible with only a click or two.  Along with the site, our blog will feature 3Rivers news, give insights into our community involvement, and offer educational resources to help you answer questions about your money matters.  Member Experience stories will also pop-up on the blog from time to time before they find a more permanent home on our Member Experiences page.

These are just a few of the things we’re excited about this year, and we can’t wait to tell you more about all of them .   Keep an eye on the blog and website for information in the coming days, weeks, and months.
